Cairats Line: Our premium reference wines. For demanding wine lovers.

Cairats Collection Line: Single-varietal wines of very limited production. The ultimate expression of a terroir with very elegant wines and a strong personality.


Viticulture

CAIRATS FRESCAL

Grape variety: White Grenache. The traditional white autochthonous variety of the DO Montsant.

Winemaking and aging: Short and gentle maceration with skins and aging for six months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage).

Bottles: 75 cl

Wine profile: Made from white Grenache grapes from our vineyard on the "La Vinyeta" estate. It is a very special plot located 200 meters from the Darmós winery. Northeast orientation with fine-textured sandy-limestone soil. This results in pleasant grapes that produce an aromatically intense and complex wine, with good acidity and a creamy texture. A fresh, fruity white wine with a floral touch.

CAIRATS ANTOLOGÍA

Grape variety: White Grenache. The traditional white autochthonous variety of the DO Montsant. Grapes from a small plot with a marked personality on the "La Vinyeta" estate.

Winemaking and aging: Short and gentle maceration with skins and aging for four months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage). Subsequently, aging for twelve months in 400-liter French oak barrels.

Bottles: 75 cl

Wine profile: Aromatically intense and very complex. On the nose, floral notes and ripe fruit are perceived, with a mineral touch provided by the terroir, along with balsamic notes and smoky hints. On the palate, the wine is balanced, with good acidity and a creamy texture that gives it a sweet touch. The final persistence is fine and long.

CAIRATS FRAGANT

Grape variety: Blend of two autochthonous varieties cultivated in unique plots on the Pins-Vens estate: Black Grenache and Carignan.

Winemaking and aging: Short and gentle maceration with skins and aging for six months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage). Separate fermentation of the must through early extraction (bleeding) from our best black Grenache and Carignan grapes.

Bottles: 75 cl

Wine profile: Fragrance of white flowers and red fruits. On the palate, very broad, creamy, very complex. A rosé for those who don't like rosé.

CAIRATS ORIGEN

Grape variety: Blend of three autochthonous varieties: Grenache, Carignan, and Tempranillo.

Winemaking and aging: Extraction of phenolic compounds through remontage and "pigeage." Maceration according to the potential of each plot. Aging for nine months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage). 5% of the wine aged in French oak barrels.

Bottles: 75 cl and Magnum 150 cl

Wine profile: It is our informal red wine: fresh, fruity, and aromatically intense. Easy to drink but complex and with very good structure.

CAIRATS SELECCIÓ

Grape variety: Blend of Carignan and Black Grenache from selected grapes in unique plots on the Pins-Vens estate. Rocky limestone soil and south-facing orientation.

Winemaking and aging: Extraction of phenolic compounds through remontage and "pigeage." Maceration according to the potential of each plot. Aging for four months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage). Subsequently, aging for eighteen months in French oak barrels (225 liters and 400 liters).

Bottles: 75 cl and Magnum 150 cl

Wine profile: Its aromas are characterized by their complexity and good balance. On the palate, it is smooth, broad, and sweet, harmonized by fine-grained tannins with a point of integrated acidity that gives it a long, fresh, and persistent finish. Notes of forest fruits, ripe red fruit, and licorice.

CAIRATS COLLECTION SAMSÓ

Grape variety: 100% Cariñena. A small parcel over fifty years old in the Pins-Vens estate.

Winemaking and aging: Extraction of phenolic compounds through pump-over and "pigeage." Aged for four months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage), followed by eighteen months in French oak barrels (400 liters) and terracotta amphorae with fine lees (bâtonnage).

Bottles: Limited production of 600 bottles of 75 cl (approximate production depending on the vintage).

Wine profile: A pure Montsant wine, made from vineyards in the southernmost part of Montsant with calcareous and sandy loam soils. Elegance, high complexity, and perfect balance. Notes of ripe fruit, chocolate, and licorice. A wine for special occasions!

Grape variety: 100% Merlot. Small parcel over thirty years old in the Pins-Vens estate.

Winemaking and aging: Extraction of phenolic compounds through pump-over and "pigeage." Aged for four months in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage), followed by eighteen months in French oak barrels (400 liters) and terracotta amphorae with fine lees (bâtonnage).

Bottles: 75 cl

Wine profile: Fresh and fruity. Very complex and elegant. Red fruit with a hint of spice. Very long and intense. When we incorporated the "Pins Vens" estate into our project, we discovered a small parcel of Merlot (550 vines). We decided to produce an original Merlot with great personality, reflecting the microclimate and terroir. We believe we have created a unique and very special wine... One of a kind!

CAIRATS COLLECTION VIOGNIER

Grape variety: 100% Viognier. Small parcel in the Les Vinyetes estate. Calcareous soil, very poor in nutrients, with a fine sandy structure (silts from aeolian sediments).

Winemaking and aging: Short and gentle maceration with skins. Aged for twelve months: part in stainless steel tanks with fine lees (bâtonnage work) and part in 400-liter French oak barrels (partial fermentation in barrel).

Bottles: Limited production of 700 bottles of 75 cl (approximate production depending on the vintage).

Wine profile: Very expressive, elegant, and complex. Intense aromatics with excellent acidity. Floral and citrus notes, tropical fruits (pineapple, mango), nuts, and smoky nuances. A white wine with a strong personality for wine lovers who look beyond trends and standards.
